Stop Comparing Yourself:
In life, there will always be someone who has more than you. More money, more degrees, bigger house, and a better job the list goes on and on. It's easy to compare yourself when you go on social media and you see people that you follow always going on vacations, eating at the fancy restaurants, buying those designer clothes and looking at your life like why can't my life be like theirs. The reality is your life is not supposed to be like theirs. You don't know how that person paid for that trip, what sacrifices were made or sometimes what was given to them for free, how much money they have in their bank accounts and what they did to get those things that you are envying and admiring so much. Comparing yourself to others can be your biggest downfall to your true happiness. Instead of focusing on the next person count your blessings and be happy with what you have and most importantly be happy with yourself. Once you stop comparing yourself to others you can truly enjoy what God has for you and your life. Count your blessings, not someone else’s. Here are some ways you can stop comparing your life and to be grateful for what you have.
1.) When you wake up in the morning talk to God about anything you want, this is a form of prayer. Instead of gong on social media talk to God first.
2.) Write down your goals of things you want to accomplish that day.
3.) Speak affirmations over your life. For example, "I am blessed" "I will have a great day" "I am able to do everything in Jesus name" "I am more than enough" "my life is amazing because God created me"
4.) Be a blessing to someone instead of looking for someone to bless you. Giving is better than receiving this is where your greatest blessings come from.
5.) Do something that brings joy to your heart and life.
Remember you are more than enough!
Struggles Don’t Break You It Makes You Stronger Many times people go through life ashamed, embarrassed, and insecure about their struggles. Struggles are meant to build character, patience, and endurance to get you through the next stages of your life. It may be hard at that time and you may feel like you are the only one that’s going through that and you also may feel like you won’t be able to get over it. Trust me, I’m sure we have all been there at some point in our lives. At times you may have to get a used car, you may have to get that loan, work two jobs or more, get up earlier and stay up later than most. But it’s okay because it’s making you a stronger person than before. Things do not happen overnight; it takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and faith. You have to believe in yourself or no one will. Keep fighting for your life and keep God first and see how that struggle turns out for your good and becomes a blessing. Here are five things to remember when you are in a struggle
1. Pray, and don’t stop until your prayers are answered
2. Have faith, know that everything that you are going through is for a greater purpose that is bigger than you
3. Stay busy. Staying busy helps remove toxic and negative feelings. This is a great way to find a hobby or do something that you always wanted to do
4. Surround yourself with positive, encouraging, and helpful individuals who can help you go through your struggle
5. Don’t stop. When we are faced with obstacles and struggles we tend to stop everything that we are doing to focus on that negative situation that is pulling us down, instead of stopping keep on moving because that’s where you learn and grow.
Letting Go Of Fear: There are times when we have to face our fears and deal with them head on first. I know you may feel scared, intimidated, and shy away from the fact that the same obstacle you need to move is right in front of your blessings. In the book of Joshua chapter one verse 9, it states, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go”. God does not want us to live in fear of wondering how are these bills going to get paid? How I’m I going to make it out of this situation? Who is going to love me? How am I going to pay these debts off? These are just a few of the questions that some of us ask ourselves and live in fear of not knowing what the next day may bring. But, let me tell you something GOD did not create us to live in fear and fight our own battles. He died on that cross for us and to fight our battles. He wants you to live in peace, happiness, joy and loving everything he created for you. Stop living in fear of the “what ifs”, what happened in your past, and what you assume people would think of you. Letting go of your fears can be the biggest blessing and testimony that can happen to you. Live courageous and strong don’t forget that the Lord is with you everywhere you go.
